2023 Discover Taiwan: 2 weeks study tour

Updated: Feb 1, 2023

A safe and friendly environment. Taiwan blends traditional architecture and modern, a beautiful country with a wealth of cultural diversity.

Group A (age:7-16years old):

Group B (age:7-16years old):

Group C (age:18-30years old):

Regarding the Taiwan trips, our provisional dates are:

Camp A (850 USD)

24th July - 4th August (only camp, no boarding, no flights). This is for students from 7-16 years old.

Camp B (1500 USD)

31st July - 11th August (camp + boarding + all meals, no flights). This is for students from 7-16 years old.

Camp C (850USD)

24th July - 4th August (only camp, no boarding, no flights). This is a camp for adult students from 18+. It aligns well with Camp A, in that parents can study on the same dates as their children, and board separately as a family off-site (for example at a hotel/Airbnb).

If choosing Camp A, parents will need to come to Taiwan and arrange their own boarding for children (off-site), or we can potentially put in a request to board the children at the school for an extra cost.

OCAC Taiwan is providing funding of 300USD for camps, and 400USD for flights, per student, so essentially 700USD per student can be claimed back. To access this funding for Camp C you will need to be between 18-30 years old. Students over 30 can still attend the camp, but cannot claim any funding.

How it will work:

We need to receive deposits of per student, before the 10th of Feb. We will then proceed with applying for funding from Taiwan OCAC. We will then let all parents/families/students know to proceed to book their flight tickets by the beginning of March. No flight tickets should be booked prior to our confirmation in early March unless you are already planning to go to Taiwan, as we cannot proceed with the trip unless we have 15 students (Camp A), 30 students (Camp B), or 15 students (Camp C), and guaranteed funding, which will all be confirmed about 3 weeks after the deposit deadline (10th Feb). For all groups, we will have group leaders from the UK going with students.

If we do not manage to gather enough students for the trip, we will refund the deposits.

All groups will have:

  • Mandarin classes

  • Cultural experiences

  • Field trips

  • Social activities

  • Youth club sessions

  • Hands-on Chinese crafts
