Taiwan OCAC funded Adult Classes – New class for total beginners.
We will be starting a new fully funded adult beginner class in January 2024. New classes are proposed to take place at Hampstead Branch on Saturdays from 14:30-16:30.
For those who already have some foundation in Mandarin, we have 6 established classes running, please contact us so we can provide details of the most suitable class for you.
TCML program
In 2021, we were awarded 2nd place by OCAC Taiwan R.O.C. for Excellence in Establishing and operating our TCML Centre, as well as promoting Mandarin Language Learning. This was among the 18 centres worldwide.
In 2022, we were awarded 1st place by OCAC among 45 centres globally (35 in US and 10 in Europe).
We are overjoyed to announce that just this week we were awarded 1st place, for the 2023 award, among 66 centres, (54 in US and 12 in Europe).
We are so honoured to be recognized in this fashion, and we strive to continue leading the way and contributing to the cultivation of Mandarin in those looking to explore this wonderful language.
As part of the selection process, inspectors carried out a centre inspection last September. It was designed to dig very deep into centres and ask challenging questions about provision, outcomes, and community. We are delighted that OCAC has reported that we are fully compliant in all areas and our provision for our students is excellent; the report is incredibly positive about all aspects of our school.
Here are some of the key findings:
• Students have outstanding attitudes to their learning.
• There is a strong sense of the value of learning for its own sake, of enjoyment in making progress, and the expertise of dedicated staff.
